Local business constructs a building for Rolling Fork

Register Barns in Wiggins went to Rolling Fork on Friday to build a 300 square-foot metal building.

After Owner Jeff Register heard about the devastating tornado that hit Rolling Fork, he knew he had to see what we could do to help.

Register and his team helped build a building so that the goods being donated to the city could be stored in a safe and secure area.

Students in the welding class at Stone High School also helped by welding some of the columns and rafters together. “The amount of devastation that we saw there was just mind blowing. Just nothing left and just nothing there and all these people’s stuff, it was just really emotional. When you get there and see peoples stuff laying out by the road, their clothes, their pictures, or whatever. So, it was a tough start to that day.”

Register says it took roughly 12 hours to complete the building.
