Local business and contractors impacted by copper thieves

A string of copper thefts has been affecting local businesses on the Coast.

Wednesday night, another HP Development jobsite was hit by thieves. More than $60,000 worth of copper and electrical items have been stolen from the jobsite.

Layla’s Coffeehouse and Eatery, the Fly Boutique, I love Mac and Cheese, and more have fallen victim as well.

Employees have been working overtime to compensate for the loss of copper. HP Development is asking for the community to come together to stop the series of burglaries.

If you have any information about the case, contact your local police department.
