Local brewery sees sales increase

Following the passing of legislation allowing for Mississippi breweries to sell their product directly to consumers, the Lazy Magnolia Brewery has seen their sales increase dramatically.

Before the bill, local breweries could only give out samples to those who took an educational tour. Because of this, the only way Mississippians could buy their products was at local markets or stores.

However, breweries like the Lazy Magnolia can now sell up to two cases of their product per person per day. Lazy Magnolia Co-owner Mark Henderson said, “Now they have an opportunity to stop here and pick from one of the 20 beers we have at any given moment in time and go ‘holy cow, I didn’t even know I liked that kind of beer.’”

The Lazy Magnolia Brewery offers tours on Thursday and Friday nights and multiple tours throughout the day on Saturdays.
