Local author writes Christmas books for the holidays

Local author Adam Smith is spreading the Christmas cheer this year by selling his books about the birth of Jesus.

The two books are called ‘There’s a Kid in my Food’ and ‘Angel Blues.’ ‘There’s a Kid in my Food’ tells the story of the birth of Jesus through the animal’s perspectives.

‘Angel Blues’ is a story about an angel struggling to share the news of Jesus’ birth.

Both books are sing-a-longs with both songs being sold online as well. ‘Kid in my Food’ is a fun country song while ‘Angel Blues’ is a blues song.

Coloring books for both stories are being sold as well. Smith said, “So, I’ve got years of leading worship in the area, writing songs and skits and plays and things like that. I’ve got some kids of my own now, and I was reading stories to them. I was like I got some ideas for books, but I don’t know how to get the idea of the story from my head to my hands. So, I was thinking in the past, ‘oh what have I written in the past that I could learn the journey,’ and There’s a Kid in my Food was very well received.”
