Election results for 4th Congressional District Primary

Residents went to the polls today to vote in the Mississippi’s U.S. Congressional Primary Elections. Today’s election results will determine the November ballot for the House of Representatives, 4th Congressional District.

The Republican ballot for 4th Congressional District is heading for a runoff. Incumbent Steven Palazzo earned 16,079 for 31.6% of the votes. It looks like Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell, who earned 12,808 for 25.2% of the votes with 97% of the precincts reporting, will be his opponent. The two will face off to earn a spot on the ballot as the Republican nominee in the general election in November.

The runoff election will take place June 28th.

Johnny DuPree wins the Democratic nomination for U.S. House in Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District. Dupree won the nominee with 9,607 for 84.9% of the votes.

The Democrat and Republican nominees will face off against Libertarian Alden Patrick Johnson in the General Election on November 8th.
