Lighting up the Biloxi Lighthouse this Thursday

The Biloxi Lighthouse will be lighting up for Christmas starting this Thursday.

The lighthouse will be covered in Christmas lights. The public is invited to the lighting as Mayor FoFo Gilich flips the switch and lights up the landmark.

The switch will be flipped at 5:30.

Santa will be making an appearance as well with hot chocolate and cookies being available for the public. Biloxi Historical Administrator Bill Raymond said, “And really does set the mood for the rest of the Christmas season. So, that’s what we felt like we really needed to do and it helps to promote the visitor center and we, you know, we love decorating down here. So, it brings people here and that’s the main reason we do it.”
