Lighthouse Assisted Living residents enjoy breakfast with the Grinch

This morning residents at Lighthouse Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ocean Springs enjoyed breakfast with the Grinch.

Residents and their families ate a Grinch-themed breakfast with fluffy pancakes, green hot chocolate, fruit, bacon, and sausage.

They enjoyed watching the Grinch movie and then snagged a photo with the Grinch!

Activities Director Chelsea Hoven says it is important to make sure your elderly loved ones feel included in the holiday cheer. “We offer a lot of parties and events so our family members can come in and join us. It’s very important that our residents have this time with their family during the holidays and they are kind of like our family, too.”

This is the first time the center has had an event like this, but organizers say they look forward to making it a tradition.
