Legacy continues for Air Force family at Keesler Air Force Base

A family dedicated to serving our country, the Delgado siblings are continuing their family’s legacy of serving in the military.

Amanda and Jose are following in the footsteps of their father, Jose Victor Delgado.

After being born on an Air Force base, Amanda serves the military as an OBGYN physician and was promoted to a major in this ceremony.

She is sharing this moment with her brother, Jose Victor Delgado II. Jose was sworn in as a second lieutenant and will soon begin his medical school journey. “What happened today was the combination of years and years of hard work. From my parents, me, my sister, everybody apart of the process and we’re extremely blessed.”

The family legacy did not begin with their faither, but with their grandfather who was a World War II veteran.

Serving the military is something the Delgado family is very proud of and they hope the tradition continues after them.
