Lee Greenwood gets wedding crowd going with signature song

The unmistakable voice of Lee Greenwood could be heard over the weekend in Biloxi. But it wasn’t for a concert.

The occasion? Miss Mississippi USA 2021 Bailey Mae Anderson’s marriage to Will Garriga at the White House Hotel.

The couple, who have been sweethearts since they were 12 years old, exchanged vows on the hotel grounds and Greenwood sang at the reception, belting out his signature song “God Bless The USA” with help from the wedding guests.

The newly minted Mrs. Garriga, a East Central grad — became friends with the Greenwoods while in the pageant and serving as Miss Mississippi USA. Greenwood’s wife, Kim, is the pageant director for Mississippi.

Bailey also had several fellow contestants serve as bridesmaids.
