Police Find White Van Suspected to Have Been Used in Fatal Hit-and-Run at CSL Plasma Center

Police believe they have located the van that was used in that fatal hit-and-run that killed one woman and sent several others to the hospital with critical injuries Wednesday morning at the CSL Plasma Center off Highway 49 in Gulfport.

The van was found parked at the West Side Shell Station, just south of the intersection of Highway 49 and Interstate 10 in Gulfport, adjacent to Gulfport Premium Outlets.

We now know the identity of the person killed in the hit-and-run that happened outside the CSL Plasma Center in Gulfport just after 5 am Wednesday morning. Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victim as 60-year-old Doris Ducksworth of Gulfport.

Meanwhile, several others are being treated for injuries in that hit-and-run. Some injuries, we are told, are considered to be critical.

Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the person who was driving the white van that was used in the fatal hit-and-run. At present, few other details, including a description of the driver, are available.

No word on a possible motive. We will continue to keep you updated on this tragic story as new developments emerge throughout the day.
