Lazy Gator Sports Bar hosting Cornhole for a Cause tournament
The Lazy Gator Sports Bar and Steamer in Diamondhead is hosting the Cornhole for a Cause Tournament this Saturday.
The money raised at the event will go to Folds of Honor, an organization supporting families of fallen and disabled veterans through scholarships.
The cause is so dear to Lazy Gator owners Chip and Laura Bunner. When they were approached by Mitchell Distributing to host the event, they jumped at the opportunity. “A lot of times, it’s difficult losing your mom or dad or becoming disabled and that extra support is a big deal to help veterans out.”
“We’re a very veteran friendly restaurant and with Chip being in the military and everything, we do everything we can to support our military family and friends. It is fun, I mean, everybody loves a good cornhole contest. It will be good fun and plus it’s for a great cause, too.”
The tournament kicks off Saturday, July 31st at 4 p.m. Entry fee is $30 per team and that includes one bucket of beer. Prizes are up for grabs.
You can register online or do so at the door.
