Police Appreciation Service

For a number of years, the church of the redeemer in Biloxi has hosted an appreciation ceremony for law enforcement across the coast.

The gathering is the church’s way of saying “thank you” to the many men and women who risk their lives for the safety of others.

The ceremony also honors the service and sacrifice of local, state, and federal officers who lost their life in the line of duty.

One-by-one, representatives from police departments across the coast grabbed a red-rose Sunday afternoon and placed it on a cross as a sign of respect and remembrance for the brave souls who died doing what they loved.
