Latest updates on Jackson County School District bond campaign
With less than one month to go until the Jackson County School District’s bond election, more information is being released to parents and community stakeholders.
School district leaders continue to post updates through social media channels and the district website, including the recent release of some visual designs of projects included in the bond proposal.
Also, a community committee continues to hold meetings on the bond issue ahead of the May 18th election.
Superintendent Dr. John Strycker says having these new visual renderings give citizens a new way to look at the proposed changes to local schools. “Everyone likes a picture, so we do have the renderings done, some general floor plans done, but those could change, but we needed to get something out there, so people could visually see what we’re looking to do. We’re excited about that, so it is one of the steps and those are online. People can go to the website and see those renderings.”
Also, a new Facebook page called ‘Keeping Kids First’ has been created by the Jackson County School District Bond Committee to advocate for the bond. That committee is a community committee independent of the school district.
