This transition will allow all expectant mothers to benefit from the region’s most advanced maternity care in one location. Gulfport is home to our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – the only NICU on the Mississippi Gulf Coast – along with a 24/7 Laborist program, dedicated Obstetrics Emergency Department, Breastfeeding Center, and a wide range of education and support services for families.”

This change reflects our commitment to growing and strengthening services for our community. By uniting maternity services in Gulfport, we can offer families a seamless, well-supported birth experience backed by the full expertise of our Memorial team. Gynecological surgical services will continue at Memorial Hospital Biloxi, and all current Biloxi Obstetrics team members will be offered positions throughout Memorial Health System, including opportunities to remain in Biloxi.
