Kroc Center preparing to host ‘Ties and Tiaras’ event

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Biloxi is setting up for Ties and Tiaras.

Formally known as their daddy-daughter dance, Ties and Tiaras invites all grown-ups to spend the evening dancing away with their children.

The theme this year is the ‘Oscars.’ Between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th, families will get to walk the red carpet straight into Hollywood.

Many grandparents and guardians were wondering if they had an invite to the original daddy-daughter dance, which was always open to anyone, but the name made it feel exclusive. Salvation Army Marketing Coordinator Morgan Shiyou said, “We don’t want people to get caught up on the names of things. We want everybody. Everybody’s welcome at the Salvation Army. Everybody’s welcome at the Kroc Center. We’re a place where everyone belongs. We find something for everybody. So, we’re here, and we’re making this happen just for the community.”

Tickets can be purchased online at krocmscoast.com. They are two for $25 and $10 for each additional family member.
