Kroc Center Mardi Gras Camp
The Salvation Army and the Kroc Center are trying to get kids up and out of the house while they’re on Mardi Gras break.
The Kroc Center is hosting Mardi Gras Camp the week of Mardi Gras on February 12th and the 14th. The camp gives parents, who may still have to work during Mardi Gras, a safe and fun place for their kids to spend their time off.
The children will be able to participate in many different activities. Kids age four to 12 are welcome to join in on the fun. Salvation Army Public Relations Director Morgan Shiyou said, “They will swim. They will have a snack and lunch and get to play with their friends and they will get to go to the gym and play basketball and any other games they want to play. They will swim, arts and crafts, some music will be involved, dancing. They will just have a good time and meals are provided.”
To sign up for Mardi Gras Camp all you have to do is stop by the Kroc Center and ask the front desk.
