Krewe Unique makes donation to Seashore Mission

The Krewe Unique Community Outreach made a donation to Seashore Mission of Biloxi for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Seashore Mission helps to feed people experiencing homelessness– as well as offer a place for them to shower and wash clothes.

Each month, the krewe picks a different organization to support using money gathered from their Mardi Gras ball.

Community outreach’s goal is to show the same generosity all year long, even when it’s not carnival season.

“So many organizations think it’s just a party organization, which it’s not. It’s an organization where we give back to the community because we also ask the community for support throughout the whole year,” said Krewe Unique captain Greg Gipson, “So, we take these funds and we make sure that we are looking at organizations that are in need.”

The Krewe has two events coming up. They will be collecting unopened toys at the Ocean Springs Christmas parade.

Concerts on the Causeway will also help benefit Seashore Mission.
