Krewe of NAMAC parades through the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport

At the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, they got the carnival fun started early on Friday.

The good times were rolling for the Krewe of NAMAC parade, standing for Navy, Army, Marines, Airforce, and Coast Guard.

Staff and veterans showed out with their best Mardi Gras attire, handing out beads and throws to fellow veterans along the halls of the retirement home.

The parade made its way to the community center where residents bust out their best moves and were treated to a Mardi Gras lunch.

What would a Mardi Gras parade be without a king and queen? Miss Joyce Maddox and Mr. Todd Wendler took home this year’s honors, titles reserved each year for the oldest residents who have been crowned yet.
