Krewe of Gemini Parade rolls through Downtown Gulfport

In Downtown Gulfport, the Krewe of Gemini let the good times roll Saturday.

The iconic parade has been in existence since 1969. Locals and tourists saw dazzling floats and caught multiple accessories aside from the tons of beads.

Here’s what folks had to say about the fun season and parade ahead of Fat Tuesday. Lauren Sumrall and Lily Knox said, “It’s really fun because like, she’s just screaming all the time and she like steals all of this stuff and like, it just makes me so happy.”

Ashley Labarre said, “One of my favorite holidays and so I just enjoy the party. I enjoy the festivities and friends and family. It’s just all about a party. You first come down here, you just don’t know what it’s like until you go to some of these parades.”

Mark Westcott said, “The night parade and of course the big one in Biloxi. It’s quite an experience, and we enjoy it. We try to go to three or four of the parades a year.”
