Kiwanis Club Pancake Day
Until 7 p.m. in Gulfport, you can eat pancakes for a good cause!
The 63rd annual Gulfport Kiwanis Club Pancake Day is taking over the First United Methodist Church. You can get a plate of three to four hot pancakes plus sausage and a drink for just $6.
Each year, the Kiwanis Club raises thousands of dollars that all go towards local children, key clubs, CASA, and the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.
The group is expecting to feed hundreds of people today and spread some holiday cheer in the process. Kiwanis Club Lt. Governor Travis Moore said, “So, all the money that we raise goes towards children’s programs in schools around the communities. We are in the process now of fixing up some of the local parks. We are sending several of the kids to leadership programs plus we do college scholarships for the key club kids that are going to college.”
