Kiwanis Club annual Pancake Day is back
The Kiwanis Club is serving their hot, fluffy pancakes tomorrow for their 65th annual Pancake Day.
This is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year. About 75 volunteers come in to serve pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A total of about 2,500 plates of pancakes are served each year at the event.
The funds raised at this event are used to support local programs for students across the Coast.
Last year, the event was to-go orders only due to the pandemic. However, this year, the club is bringing back indoor seating as well. Kiwanis Club Past President Travis Moore said, “We recognize kids for their success. We encourage kids to do better. We bring them together and have programs with them. We do projects in the school itself. So, this is all for the kids. It’s one of the most refreshing things to me and rewarding things to me because we’re helping the lives of kids.”
Each plate of pancakes will cost $6.
