Kiln man charged with child abuse after drugs found in home

A Kiln man is charged with felony abuse after drugs were found in the residence where the child was living.
38-year-old Louis Summers was charged with felony child abuse. He was taken to the Hancock County jail and bond has not been set.
Sheriff Ricky Adam said Summers was arrested at the Child Protective Services offices in Poplarville on Tuesday.
The female child was taken into custody by CPS.
Adam said the child’s mother had been arrested the previous week on a charge of manufacturing fake credit cards and Summers had the child. When they arrested the mother, methamphetamines were seen in plain sight at the residence.
So Hancock County deputies followed up and charged Summers this week.
