Kiln man charged in shooting over argument about a dog

A Kiln man is in jail, charged with shooting another man over a dog.
Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said 41-year-old James Brashier of the Kiln was charged with aggravated assault showing extreme indifference to human life. He was taken to the Hancock County jail and is awaiting an initial appearance before bond is set.
Adam said deputies were called out Sunday afternoon to Dogwood Ridge north of the Dedeaux community about a shooting. Adam said an argument began over a dog that led to a falling out. That’s when Brashier allegedly shot the victim in the leg with a handgun.
