Kids Trick or Treat at Edgewater Mall

Kids and their parents were treated to a fun filled night at Edgewater Mall with very few tricks. Edgewater Mall opened its door to kids from around the Coast to come inside and trick or treat with their stores in a safe, indoor environment.

Hundreds of kids visited each store, which had employees dressed in their own costumes, handing out candy to the trick or treaters. Many parents felt this was a safe alternative to neighborhood trick or treating, and the mall employees seemed to have more fun than the kids.

Ashley Faul, a mall employee, says, “I think it’s a lot of fun ‘cause, I mean, I get to wear the costume and I love the look on their faces whenever they see my character in costume and I get to hand them out the candy, and there’s a lot of kids who are fans of the characters the adults dress up as, so I mean, like I said, it’s a lot of fun for everyone.”

This event has been going on for two decades, and event coordinators hope to continue the tradition for many years to come.
