Kids Mardi Gras Parade at Keesler Air Force Base
To kick off Mardi Gras day, Keesler Air Force Base held a kids parade in front of the Child Development Center.
The 81st Training Wing hosted their children’s Mardi Gras parade to start the day’s celebration. Children from infants to five-year-olds parade down the street in their purple, green, and gold colors while throwing some sweet treats and beads.
Tech Sergeant Amanda Hoffman said, “I think it’s a good way for kids to get involved in Mardi Gras in a safe environment and get to celebrate what the whole day means and be in a parade. It’s just fun. It’s fun for them to be involved.”
Kids said they’ll be excited to attend the parade again next year. Mardi Gras will take place on February 13th next year.
