Kids Marathon
Early Saturday morning dozens of kids and their parent’s battled the cold to take on the Kids Marathon.
“We met twice a week for the last ten weeks and worked out with the kids to teach them how to stretch and run and pace and we worked up so they could the full 1.2 miles without stopping.

The kids who are members of the Running Club tell News 25 that they hope that the club will continue even though the race is over.
The Kids Marathon consisted of a 1.2 mile loop around Point Cadet Plaza and some kids ran with the help of their parents and others decided to take on the race on their own.
One group of over 30 kids from bayou view elementary has been training for this day for months.
Four teachers from the elementary school created a running club to help the kids train for this special race.
