Kids explore the inside of work vehicles at the Long Beach Touch-A-Truck event

The coolest vehicles were all on display at the Touch-A-Truck event in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts this fundraising event to raise money for teacher grants, high school scholarships, and small business grants.

Kids of all ages were able to engage with life-sized vehicles, getting a first-hand experience at how the big toys operate.

Police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and the military were just some of the many community leaders kids were able to interact with. Paramedic Field Operations Supervisor Mark Scairono said, “Well, hopefully when, if they do need us, they’re not as scared of the ambulance or the paramedics when it gets there. That’s what we’re hoping for. We work hard with our community to build a relationship like that.”
