Kidd’s Kids Day 2015

It’s been a tough year for a lot of people, but just think how much harder it would be if your child was dealing with cancer, cystic fibrosis, heart problems or any terminal or chronic illness.
Today, 107.1 The Monkey was out in Gulfport and Biloxi raising money in honor of The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show for children in those situations. It’s all part of Kidd’s Kids Day 2015. Once a year, the national morning radio show raises money to send more than 50 families on an unforgettable, all expenses paid adventure to Walt Disney World. As of 5 this afternoon, over $170,000 was raised nationally and just over $4,400 was raised right here on the Coast.
Radio personality Patty Steele said, “We’re trying to send as many kids as we can to Walt Disney World, all expenses paid. That includes the kid, mom, dad, brothers, sisters, grandma, grandpa, uncles, aunts, cousins. We need a lot of money and so far, as of almost 10 this morning, we’ve had $100,000. That’s nationally.”
They’re done taking donations in person but you can still go online and donate at kiddskids.com or text KIDD to 52000 to make a $10 donation until midnight tonight.
