Ken Combs Pier in Gulfport scheduled to reopen this week
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- This week another one of the City of Gulfport’s piers is reopening.
Work on the Ken Combs Peir is done and a reopening ceremony is set for Wednesday, February 25.
The pier has been out of service since Hurricane Zeta heavily damaged it in 2020.
Work crews rebuilt the pier using new concrete pile caps and a flow through deck design to make it more resistant to future storms.
