Kemper In-Service Date Pushed Back

Mississippi Power is once again delaying the completion of the Kemper County Energy Facility.
The Southern Company has filed new documents that say the plant will not be operational until December 31st. This also includes a $25 million cost to the plant which will not be paid by customers, but the Southern Company instead.
This delay adds another month to the once expected completion date so the company can achieve electricity on gasifier B.
