Keesler’s 75th Anniversary

Today marks the historic 75th anniversary of Keesler Air Force Base here on the Gulf Coast.
This evening at the Biloxi Visitors Center, community leaders and members of the 81st Training Wing at Keesler Air Force Base gathered for the unveiling of a 75th anniversary commemorative logo and a historical display. U.S. Air Force Colonel Michele Edmondson said, “Tonight is our kickoff celebrating the 75th anniversary of this great installation of Keesler Air Force Base with the community.”
Historian of the 81st Training Wing Kenneth Dodd said, “We’ve been enjoying bringing people on base during the past 75 years and showing them what Keesler does. The community is a great supporter of those things.”
The historical display will be a temporary fixture in the Biloxi Visitors Center for several months.
