Keesler unveils theme for Thunder Over the Sound

Keesler Air Force Base unveiled the official theme for the Thunder over the Sound Air and Space Show, being “Heritage and Honor.”

Keesler Air Force Base and the City of Biloxi have come together to bring aerial performers – including the Air Force exhibition team The Thunderbirds – as well as static displays and other demonstrations for the free public event taking place on and off base.

The air show will have something for everyone.

Parents can bring the children to the kids zone, where they can experience activities and games to ignite their imaginations and keep them entertained.

Parents can enjoy a lively beer garden, featuring a selection of craft beers.

“This air show is going to be fantastic. So the last time The Thunderbirds were here was 2019, so if you went to a show in 2019 this show is going to be completely different,” said SMSgt. Sarah Beyers. “The Thunderbirds team really took some time over the past couple of years and redid their entire show. They coordinated with some Disney executives and have some exciting acrobatics – joined up with some music. It is going to be a show like no other that you have seen”

The air and space show will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30th from 9 AM to 4 PM over the Biloxi beach.

A STEM expo will also take place Friday and run through the weekend in conjunction with the show.
