Keesler to conduct tornado drills Tuesday morning

Keesler Air Force Base will be conducting a tornado drill at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Surrounding communities may hear the tornado sirens and announcement during this drill.  Although forecasted to be clear weather, if there is inclement weather around this timeframe, the tornado sirens may not be activated.

Tornado drills are designed to ensure the readiness and safety of the base population for inclement weather as we prepare for the upcoming hurricane season.

Personnel and visitors should be aware exercise activities may interrupt or delay base operations and services.  All gates may close temporarily (less than 15 minutes).

For any questions, please contact the 81st Training Wing Public Affairs office at (228) 377-2733 or e-mail 81trw.pamain@us.af.mil.
