Keesler Making Final Preparations for Weekend Air Show

Keesler Air Force Base is busy making the final preparations for what they’re calling the biggest block party Biloxi has seen in years.

While Keesler wants everyone to come out and enjoy the air show, there are a few important things they want to make sure you know. Those attending should take the Bayview exit off I-110 and head west until you see Keesler personnel, who will direct you to parking.

Shuttles begin running at 8:45 a.m. and will bring you from parking onto the base. Overflow parking will be at Treasure Bay Casino, but those shuttles will only run from noon until 3 p.m. Make sure anything you bring with you can fit easily onto the shuttle and refrain from bringing large coolers or any kind of weapon. A good rule of thumb is if you wouldn’t want a T.S.A. screener catching it at the airport, do not bring it to Keesler.

Lt. Col. Kyle Tate of Keesler Air Force Base says, “Go to our website at www.keesler.af.mil. That’s keesler.af.mil. You look at the top left hand corner will be the air show icon. You click on that and you will have any and all information at your ready access to provide to you to come to our air show.”

In addition to watching the Thunderbirds and Golden Knight Parachute Team, there will be flight simulators on base and other fun things like trampolines for the kids. You can even meet the Budweiser Clydesdales and Dalmatian from the commercials.
