Keesler Holds 5th Annual Dragon Challenge Relay

Friday was hot and sunny for many who spent the day outside at Keesler Air Force Base.

About 300 team Keesler members participated in the 5th Annual Dragon Challenge, a 14 hour relay run to raise money for the Keesler Fisher-House. Runners didn’t mind lacing up for a 6 a.m. start benefiting a good cause.

Tsgt. Travis Smith, Lead P.O.C. for Dragon Challenge, says, “Today’s event is to raise funds for the Fisher House. The Fisher House is a house that takes care of the wounded members’ families and retirees’ families during extensive medical procedures they undergo, and today so far, we’ve raised roughly $5,000 to help fund operational costs for the Fisher House.”

The run includes 32 teams from different organizations across the base.
