Keesler Community partnership event

Air Force leaders hosted a community partnership event at the Biloxi Civic Center in hopes of strengthening the alliance that is already established between Keesler Air Force Base and the City of Biloxi.

One of the main focuses of this conference was for Keesler to find community partnership activities and to start sharing the burdens the Biloxi community carries.

Keesler leaders want Biloxi to look at this military instillation as a neighbor. They hope a direct result of this conference is a stronger alliance between Keesler and Biloxi.

Program Director Dr. Wayne Clark got the idea for this conference from a national Air Force conference on community partnerships in San Diego, California. He even invited a few of the key note speakers from the national conference. “I’m hoping our partnership will be strengthened through this type of event and through the entire partnership. In my 40 plus years with the Air Force I have never seen a community partnership as strong as the one that I see here between Keesler and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”

Since 2012 Air Force programs such as this one has generated more than $24 million in community benefits and $32 million in Air Force benefits.
