Keesler Air Force Base holds Change of Command Ceremony for 81st Training Group
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The 81st Training Group at Keesler Air Force Base has a new commander.
A change of command ceremony was held on June 12. Colonel Jill Heliker assumed command from Colonel Michael Powell.
Col. Powell has served as the group commander since July 2024.
Col. Heliker is in familiar territory, serving as commander of the 336th Training Squadron in 2018 and then as the deputy commander of the 81st until 2022.
