Katherine’s Army grows to Hammond, Louisiana for blood drive in her honor

For months, News 25 has been bringing you stories about an incredibly strong St. Patrick student named Katherine Adams who is currently battling Ewing Sarcoma.

Throughout her two main fundraisers, the support has gone past the Fighting Irish walls and has expanded to the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast!

Well this past weekend, Katherine’s Army grew all the way to Hammond, Louisiana! Some of Katherine’s family members are graduates of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in Hammond, Louisiana.  On Friday, STA hosted a blood drive in their high school gym in honor of Katherine from 8 am to 4 pm.

The goal of the drive was to collect 40 units of blood, and they surpassed that goal by collecting 52 units!

What outstanding news for Katherine and her family. Keep on fighting, Kat! We’re all in your corner!
