Kaitlin Lee returning to MGCCC as assistant coach

With ties to Harrison Central High School, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and Ole Miss, Kaitlin Lee’s magnolia state roots run deeper than most, but it’s the middle one of those that has the former softball star coming back to where it all began.

Today, Lee was named pitching coach of the Bulldogs under first year Head Coach David Kuhn. Most recently she held down the same position at division I Samford.

Already elected to the MGCCC Hall of Fame in 2019, Lee was an All-American pitcher at Gulf Coast before taking on the national stage at Ole Miss where she led the Rebels to their first ever league crown in 2017 by throwing all 440 pitches in the SEC Tournament.

Prior to her time in Oxford, Lee led the Bulldogs to the Region 23 Tournament crown in 2015, setting school records for complete games, shutouts, innings, and starts in the process.

All that success coming the year after winning the 6A State Championship with the Red Rebelettes.
