JZ 94.5 holds third annual Juneteenth Celebration over the weekend

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Gulfport has spent the past week celebrating Juneteenth with various events.

The third annual JZ 94.5 Juneteenth Celebration took place in Downtown Gulfport on Saturday.

At this year’s festival, the focus was celebrating unity, heritage, and hometown pride.

There were all kinds of events to enjoy with live music and entertainment all day long, food trucks serving up local favorites, vendor booths featuring local businesses and artisans as well as family fun activities and games.

They also held a jam session scholarship giveaway for high school musicians with $2,000 in prizes and judges from labels like Atlantic Records and Def Jam.
