Jurassic Quest at the Gulf Coast Coliseum
Just when you thought dinosaurs were extinct, they made a quick stop in Biloxi over the weekend. News 25’s Tanner Stewart takes a closer look inside Jurassic Quest.
Some are big. Some are small. Some of them even have fur. No matter what kind it is, Jurassic Quest gives visitors the ultimate dinosaur experience. From life-size animatronic dinosaurs to arts and crafts, you can even take a ride on your favorite dino. It’s not just children at the exhibit. People of all ages are encouraged to come out and enjoy the fun.
Visitors of Jurassic Quest have the opportunity to play games, interact with the dinosaurs and learn about the prehistoric creatures through restored fossils. Jurassic Quest Program Director Angela LeBlanc tells News 25 all about this lifelike experience. “We are the largest animatronic dinosaur exhibit in North America. We have over 80 animatronic dinosaurs. Our exhibit takes you through the Jurassic, Triassic, and Cretaceous periods. We have tours that go into more depth within our exhibit. We have real fossils. It’s an educational and fun experience.”
Crowds of people lined up throughout the weekend to experience the rides, the arts and crafts, and even the chance to visit with baby dinosaurs. No matter the activity, Jurassic Quest offers insight on all things dinosaur. “There’s always a generation, every few years, of kids who are so fascinated with dinosaurs and for us the only thing we know is movies and so we can bring it to more reality as much as we possibly can,” said LeBlanc.
Whatever the reason, this coast-to-coast exhibit continues to educate visitors in a unique way.
