Junior Auxiliary Prom Closet

This time of year, girls around the country begin browsing for the perfect dress to make them shine at one of the most anticipated events of the school year: prom.
Purchasing all the bells and whistles to complete the perfect ensemble can add up. For many families not wanting to break the bank, the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi and Ocean Springs Prom Closet is the place to pick up that one-of-a-kind gown.
This coming Saturday, girls can visit the Ocean Springs Senior Center to do just that. Katie Widdows with the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi and Ocean Springs said, “It’s our opportunity to make sure that no girl goes without a dress for prom. We have prom dresses, shoes, and accessories all for $15 so every girl gets to come and have a shopping experience and leave with their dress for their special night. We have drop off locations at Sharkheads in Biloxi, Gatlin’s in Gulfport, and Handy Locks Storage in Ocean Springs or you can contact the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi and Ocean Springs, we are happy to come collect those and the deadline for dresses is Thursday.”
Widdows tells News 25 they accept dresses of all sizes, colors, and lengths.
