Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport’s ‘Fill the Bus’ school supply drive begins
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport’s annual school supply drive has begun. They have teamed up with Walmart and United Way of South Mississippi to make sure that every kid gets a head start to their school year.
All supplies collected will go directly to students in need with local schools ensuring they start the new school year off right.
For some families, purchasing school supplies can be a huge financial burden, but this annual local campaign steps in and helps those in need.
Community members are encouraged to donate essential items such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other classroom supplies.
The campaign lasts all the way until July 31 so there is still plenty of time to donate. For more information, click here.
