Junior Auxiliary Homecoming Closet

With homecoming season just around the corner, one local organization made sure girls and their families had access to affordable formal wear.

The Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs held their annual ‘Homecoming Closet’ at ‘In the Zone’ in St. Martin Saturday.

Lightly-used homecoming dresses and accessories like jewelry were available and all items were marked at $15 or less.

‘Homecoming Closet’ Co-Chair Jennifer Cain tells News 25 the event gives girls a chance to shine. “It’s very expensive for formal wear these days. This gives girls an opportunity to shine and feel like a princess on their special day without the cost.”

The Junior Auxiliary also plans to host a ‘Prom Closet’ during prom season in the spring.
