Juicy Caboosy food and juice post opening in Long Beach this weekend
If you like pressed juice and healthy food options, then the Juicy Caboosy in Long Beach is the place for you!
Tomeka Bryant and Ailsa Von-Dobeneck met working in the railroad industry in New Orleans. They became friends who bonded over food, drinks, and good times on the Gulf Coast.
When an old caboose became available, they decided to bring it to Long Beach as a juice and food post for the beach crowd, incorporating all the things they enjoy into a business. “I think the railroad industry is a really special place. It’s kind of like a big family. I know it sounds kind of corny, but it is. I mean, it’s so special to both of our hearts. We thought it would be really fun to incorporate that industry and what we love to and cocktails and food.”
The owners noticed there are not a lot of healthy options to choose from on the Gulf Coast so their menu will be made up of mostly natural ingredients, even in the cocktails that will be offered. “We thought incorporating the healthy cold press juice, and cold press kind of mixed with alcohol, actually makes you feel better. It’s something that is light, refreshing that people will love to drink. You don’t feel so heavy or miserable after. Excellent salads and natural juices is something I think people will enjoy.”
The Juicy Caboosy plans to expand in the future, starting with an outdoor bar and more outdoor games for their guests. “I’m just excited for everyone to show up and I think we have a wonderful staff and I’m excited for what the Juicy Caboosy will bring to the Coast.”
The grand opening of the Juicy Caboosy is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The caboose will open Wednesday through Sunday. You can also keep up with them on Instagram.
