Joseph T. Jones Building renovations complete in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Gulfport leaders marked the reopening of a historic downtown building.

The Joseph T. Jones Building recently received a number of upgrades, including new stairs, floors, and a reconfigured drive-thru area.

It’s a familiar building for many Gulfport residents as the hub for the city’s finance and utility departments.

Mayor Billy Hewes says this project is a testament to the city’s desire to preserve historic buildings while also making improvements to bring buildings into the modern era.
