Jolly McCarty Memorial Golf Tournament
The Bacot McCarty Foundation had a jolly time over the weekend with their golf tournament to honor Jolly P. McCarty at the Shell Landing Golf Club.
The proceeds from the tournament will go towards scholarship funds and enable the foundation to address the needs of the community. The 14th annual event had the involvement of local businesses and community leaders to have fun while raising money for a good cause.
Over 270 golfers participated in this year’s tournament. Tournament Coordinator Kevin Miller said, “We like to do things that help the community. The Bacot McCarty Foundation helps so many people in the community. For us to be able to help and do this, we love it. It’s an honor to be able to be involved in it.”
Around $500,000 was raised from this year’s tournament.
