Jolly McCarty Gala Set for Friday at IP Casino
An Alice Cooper guitar, overseas vacation packages, and sports memorabilia are all auction items you’ll have a chance at if you attend the 2016 Jolly McCarty Gala set for this Friday at the IP Casino in Biloxi.
The annual Jolly McCarty Gala and golf tournament serve as the Bacot-McCarty Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year. Bacot-McCarty hopes to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support over 30 youth education and arts agencies across South Mississippi.
At the gala, you can enjoy a silent auction, food, music and more. Doors open at 6 p.m. on Friday at the IP Casino Resort. This year’s theme is “Saturday Night Fever” so come dressed in your 70’s best and ready to boogie. Bacot-McCarty Foundation Executive Director Todd Trenchard said, “We’ve also done something a little different in that we’re allowing ten non-profits to put ten items in and they get 100 percent of those proceeds. So, they’ll get advantage of the huge crowd, them going out and using their connections. It should be able to generate several thousand dollars for each of them. It’s sort of become something that showcases what our community can all do together.”
Tickets are $60 each or two for $100. For more information, visit bacotmccarty.org.
