Joe Burrow returning to Superdome as Bengals take on Saints

The last time Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow played in the Caesars Superdome, it was actually the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and his LSU Tigers were national champions.

The Saints are hosting the Bengals in week six, almost three years after Burrow and the Tigers capped off one of the best seasons in college football history in the dome with a 42-25 victory over Clemson.

Burrow became a fan favorite during his time in Baton Rouge, even going so far as to change his jersey on senior day to spell Burrow ‘Burreaux,’ making Sunday an extra special homecoming.  Burrow said, “Yeah, it does. It’s a place that a lot of good memories were made. But it’s a business trip. We’re going in to win a game, so I’m excited to go back, excited to see all the fans that supported me, but they’re not going to be cheering for us this time. The best part about winning a championship is the locker room after the game and all the work that you guys put in and then you get to celebrate that together, and so that’s the biggest thing.”

The Saints and Bengals kick things off from the Caesars Superdome at noon Sunday.
