Job openings available for Buc-ee’s Mississippi location

Many on the Mississippi Coast were thrilled when Buc-ee’s announced their giant gas station is coming to Harrison County.

Mississippi’s first Buc-ee’s location may be opening sooner than expected which means those looking for a job may be in luck.

Developers have been working around the clock on the construction of the new 74,000 square foot travel center since breaking ground in mid-September 2023.

Located at 1-10 and Menge Avenue, the facility is set to offer 120 fueling stations, thousands of snack, meal, and drink options as well as their award-winning restrooms.

The $50 million dollar project was initially expected to be open to public in spring of 2025 but is now expected to be finished before December of this year.

With construction close to completion many positions are now available to those looking to apply.

According to ZipRecruiter, the average gas station attendant in Mississippi and nationwide makes $16 hourly while Buc-ees offers $20 dollars starting pay for their employees.

So, whether you’re looking for a job or just waiting to buy a bag of beaver nuggets, residents on the Mississippi Coast are counting down the days until Buc-ees officially opens.
